I had a empty spot where nothing would grow. I needed a bush that would fill up a spot about 4' x 4' and would grow up to the bottom of my deck which is about 5' off the ground at that spot. After much research, I found the perfect plant. It is an oak leaf hydrangea. It was 3 stems about 18" tall when I bought it two years ago. Now it looks like this. I just love it! It is growing in almost complete shade on the SW corner of my house. It is covered over with American Elm branches and only gets the late afternoon sun from the west.
